PLAY AT MANGATANGI KAIAUA B TEAM WINS The Kaiaua B tennis team scored another win recently when it met the Mangatangi B team at Mangatangi. The match was evenly contested, each team winning seven sets but on the count of the games Kaiaua ran out the winner by 89 to 79. Details of play with Kaiaua names mentioned first were as follows:— Ladies’ singles: Mrs B. de Jongh defeated Mrs V. McLeod, 7—2; Mrs A. Lowry defeated Mrs M. Hirst, 7—4. Men’s singles: J. de Jongh lost to A. McLeod, 7—9; D. Anderson defeated Allan Chipman, 9—2. Men’s doubles: J. de Jongh and D. Anderson lost to A. McLeod and A. Chipman, 6—9; B. Anderson and P. Anderson lost to N. Hooper and Athol Chipman, B—9; R. Dowry and I G.. Hopkins lost to C. Hamilton and H. Cummings, 6—9. Ladies’ doubles: B. de Jongh and A. Lowry defeated V. McLeod and M.
