COULTER CUP

PRESENTED TO NGATEA HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM’S GOOD RECORD On October 11 Dr W. R. Lawrence, president of the Te Aroha Rugby Union, visited the Ngatea District High School to present the Coulter cup, won this year by the school’s first fifteen.

In calling on T. Samuels, captain of the team, to receive the cup, Dr Lawrence spoke of the good sportsmanship throughout all the competing teams, stressing the value of physical education as a part of school life and congratulating the Ngatea School team on its fine record.

The following are the results of games played:—

Ngatea D.H.S. played 3, won 2, lost 0, drew 1, points 5; Waihi D.H.S., played 3, won 2, lost 1, drew 0, points 4; Paeroa D.H.S., played 3, won 1, lost 1, drew 1, points 3; Te Aroha D.H.S., played 3, won 0 lost 3, drew 0, points 0.
