County Clerk Praised
Complimentary references to the excellent manner in which the financial statement for the halt year ended September 30, 1950, was presented by the county clerk, Mr L. E. Smith, to the October meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council were made by councillors. Cr D. G. McMillan said the statement was clearly set out in simple language and was easy to understand. Crs J, F. Mayn and F. Pinchess spoke in similar strain, Cr Pinchess adding that the reports now coming before the council were so satisfactory that councillors knew all that was going on in the county.
