WEATHER IN PAEROA 1.67 INCHES OF RAIN 28.86 INCHES THIS YEAR Only on three occasions during' the past 37 years has the month >of (September in Paeroa been as dry as the last September, when the rainfall for the month was only >. 1.67 inches as against an average of 3.67 token over 37 years. September of 1914 was a record (for the rainfall was but .86 of an inch. In September, 1922, only 1.34 inches of rain were recorded and in 1940 1.46 indicts of rain fell’in Paeroa during September. There were 13 days on which rain fell last month bringing the total rainfall this year to the end of Sep- - ' tember to 28.86 inches which is well * below the average of 39.70 inches recorded over the past 37 years. Only one frost was recorded m Paeroa during the month of September last and that on September 2 when
