FOREMAN’S REPORT PAEROA COUNCIL MEETING “One hundred feet of drain in Willoughby stieet, Paeroa, has been piped with 76 feet of 15 inch and 24 feet feet of 12 inch concrete pipes,” stated the report of Mr R. Nield, borough foreman, to the September meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council. “One hundred and fifty feet of drain in lower Hill street has been piped with six inch field tiles. “Koldseal and metal patching has been done where required, tilling and levelling the roadside in Junction road will be completed in a few days. Two hundred yards of filling have been used on this work. Stopbank road, Junction street and Coronation road have been patched with running top metal. Main highways have been maintained. Fescue has been and removed from roadsides. “Fences on the domain and Primrose hill have been repaired. Water supply: “Water repairs have not been as heavy as usual during the month. One connection was given to Mr Vedder in Claremont avehue. Sewer maintenance: “One block in the main sewer in Station road caused a considerable amount of work owing to the main hole being under a shed. The pumping station in Bush street has been working i satisfactorily. Sanitation and dumps have had careful attention,” concluded the report.
