CAUSING CONCERN

SPECTATORS AT FOOTBALL INTERFERENCE WITH PLAY The persistence of the public in standing inside the dead ball line at football matches wag causing some concern, according to views expressed by members of the management committee of the ‘Hauraki Plains Rugby Union, alt its last meeting held recently at Ngatea. The suggestion was made that the Wiaitailcairuru club should endeavour to erect a wire along each end of the ground. It was pointed out that if the bail touched a spectator it could easily result in a match (being lost. Upon the motion of Mr T. Jordan, seconded by Mr J. Carr, it was resolved that the Waitakanuru club be authorised to incur any necessary expense to have the wires erected.
