COROMANDEL WINS WHANGAPOUA DEFEATED In a Rugby match for the Davis cup Coromandel defeated Whangapoua toy 11 points to six on Saturday last. Scores for the Coromandel team were two tries by J. McKenzie and one by K. Notman, which was converted by R. Fuller. The referee was Mr Bilksley of Auckland. NDRTHCOTE BEATEN KENNEDY WINS A visiting Rugby team from Northcote played Kennedy Bay on the Coromandel domain on Saturday last, Kennedy Bay winning by 17 points to six. Mr R. Pepper was referee. DANCE IN EVENING RJS.A. FUNCTION In the evening the Coromandel R.S.A. sponsored a dance in the hall when there was a good attendance. .Music was supplied by Mrs D. Stewart and Mr W. Hart. ’ A spot waltz was won by Mrs H. A. ToOtell and: partner.
