George it was decided to form a-dub, which will use the public hall for play. Officers elected were:— ;

H. Lowe, R. S. Bryce and Dr Macareth; secretary, Mr M. George; committee, Mesdames B. Packer, A. J. T. Simpson, Miss -Dixon, Messrs D. McMillian and M. E. Wiccol

It was decided that the annual subscription should be 10/6d with a charge of 6d for each evening’s play and any persOh of 14 years or over may become a member. It was decided that Tuesday be club night and the committee will arrange an opening night' at an early date. A® no funds will be available until subscriptions are paid the secretary was empowered to accept loans from interested supporters, should any offer, in order to purchase tables and' gear. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr George for calling the meeting and to the chairman, Mr Simpson.

A large, beautifully proportioned chrome cup on a (black .plastic plinth has been given for competition by Messrs John Bums and 00. Ltd. of Auckland and the committee will discuss how it .will .be competed for.
