DRAINAGE NEEDED

PAEROA HIGH SCHOOL

COMMITTEE TO TAKE ACTION

The heed for draining the ground surrounding the new prefabricated; classrooms at the Paeroa District High School was stressed by Mr A. F. Thorp at the July meeting of the school committee.

It was pointed out that though the board’s officers had selected the best locality for the building the ground had not been prepared by levelling and. no proper drainage existed. . z Mr Thorp outlined to the meeting ' the steps which would have to be* taken to effectively drain the area and

it then appeared that the drain on the main highway would need deepening. It was resolved to make application, to the Ministry of Works to have the drain on the main highway deepened and to then take steps, to drain the ■ area within the school grounds.
