SOCIAL GATHERING
RENEWING ACQUAINTANCES COROMANDEL R.S.A. FUNCTION After the combined service in the Civic theatre, Coromandel, on Anzac Day members of the Returned Services Association and their wives and friends and members of the Coromandel Silver Band gathered in the hall supper room where afternoon tea was dispensed 1 by the women’s section <of the R.S.A. A pleasant hour was spent renewing old ties and acquaintances. ' In the evening the Oddfellows’ (hall was well filled with R;S.A. members and their wives when Lt. Col. Andrew Murray screened a series of films with his own projector. The first was a collection of views taken all over New Zealand and was very good. Next he showed three films taken in the Islands during the last iwar. The pictures were most interesting and emphasised the appalling (conditions under which the men had to exist and fight • Finally was shown a film taken in colour by Mr Murray while on a holiday tour in the South Island last year. Some beautiful pictures of the Southern Alps and Mt. Cook were exhibited. A very hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr Murray by acclamation for his attendance and the entertainment he had; provided.
