Ladies High Jump Performance
At the Wednesday evening meeting of the Paeroa Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club, Miss JB. Mitchell of Tirohia who recently broke the Waikato ladies high jump tecord by clearing the bar at 4 feet 8 inches, bettered that performance by clearing the bar at 4 feet 91 inches being 2| inches above the Waikato record of 4ft. 7in. Miss Mitchell’s latest per.pormance cannot be claimed as an official record which can only be established at an open advertised meeting. Plains Poandkeepor At the March meeting of the Haurajfi Plains County Council, Mr W. J. W. Flint, the noxious weeds inspector, wss appointed poundkeeper for the Hauraki Plains.
