FAREWELL PARTY

GOODBYE TO MRS R. HOLMES

AFTERNOON AT COROMANDEL

A pleasant farewell social afternoon took place at Mrs W. Kayser’s residence Kapanga road, Coromandel, when a number of friends met to bid farewell to Mrs R. Holmes who is leaving the district.

Recitations were given by Mr* S. C. James and Mrs S. Ward won a competition.

On behalf of those present Mrs Ball handed Mrs Holmes a gift and a lovely spray of rose buds to keep in mind her stay in Coromandel during the past three or four years. The gifts carried the best wishes of her friends for her future happiness and good luck when she settled down again with her family in their new home. Mrs Holmes suitably replied. A lovely afternoon tea was served and a happy conversation over it brought the time to say goodbye. Among those present were Mesdames W. Kayser, Ball, Ariel!, James, Gane, Peachey, Lucas, Mannion, Ward and Jane.
