CAR OVERTURNS

ACCIDENT NEAR PAEROA

MAN SENT TO HOSPITAL

RESULT OF BURSTING TYRE

Injuries to head and chest were suffered by Mr James Bates, of Matamata, on Sunday afternoon last when a car driven by him on the ThamesPaeroa main highway, near Mr H. Evan's mill, became out of control and overturned as a result of a bursting rear wheel tyre.

Mr K. C. Limmer, of Te Kowhai, Hamilton, who was a passenger in the car received slight bruises. Mr Bates was attended by Dr S. L. Haslett, of Paeroa, and sent to the Thames hospital where it is understood he is making satisfactory progress. The car was badly damaged.
