WEDDING BELLS
BROWN—GREEN MARRIED AT TURUA A very pretty wedding took place at St. Patrick’s Church, Turua, on Saturday, July 16, when Madeline, daughter of Mr and Mrs €. N. Green, of Turua, was married to Stanley Edwin, son of Mr Edwin Brown, of Auckland. Father W. Flynn officiated. The bride who was given away by her father, wore a graceful gown of ivory embossed satin, cut on classical lines and falling at the back into a long train. Her long tulle veil was held in place with a headdress of flowers and she carried a shower bouquet of white ataleas and tea roses. She was attended by her sister, Mrs N. Moran, of Thames, as matron of honour. Mrs Moran wore a silk velvet frock of cherry red, with a fitting bodice and gathered skirt. Her headdress and bouquet were both of red anemones. Mr E. Turton, of Auckland, was best man. At the reception, held at Thames, the guests were received by the bride’s mother, who wore a blpck silk frock, black boucle coat and black accessories. Her shoulder spray was of pink carnations. Mrs Brown, snr., wore a black frock\ under a fur coat. Her accessories were black and her shoulde? spray was of daphne and violets.
