NGATEA PETROL PUMPS

RELIEVING CONGESTION APPLICATION TO THE COUNCIL Application for authority to petrol pumps from their position in front of their Ngatea garage to a position on sections adjacent to the building was made by Hauraki Plains Motors Limited, to the Hauraki Plains County Council airily July meeting. “ The present situation of the pumps is on the main highway and causes congestion of traffic in the front of the premises,” stated the letter. “ The removal of the pumps to the proposed new positipn will relieve this position, and will permit us to erect a less cramped filling station, and thus provide a better service* to the motoring public.”

” Anything to relieve the congestion on the highway is a good thing,” commented Cr. A. H. Sutton.

The engineer, Mr E. HazeldineBarber, stated that the removal of the pamps would effect a great improvement.

The application was granted.
