PAEROA RUGBY
NO GAMES SATURDAY COMMITTEE MEETING HELD No games will be played on the Paeroa domain on Saturday next, was the decision made at the meeting of the management committee of the Paeroa Rugby Union held on Monday night last.
The only-Rugby game on Saturday next in which Paeroa players will be. engaged is the Peace Cup elimination match, to be played at Matamata between Paeroa and Matamata. Messrs C. Chilcott and R. Todd were appointed joint managers of the representative team to journey to Matamata on Saturday next. An application was received from the Karaka Football Club for a game with a senior team of the Paeroa union and it was decided to allocate the game to the West club for September 10 next.
JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVES
TEAMS SELECTED 9 The following two teams have been selected by Mr P. T. Speechlay to train on Sunday next, August 7, on the Paeroa domain for the purpose of selecting the junior team to represent Paeroa in matches with junior representative teams of other Rugby unions.
A team; T. Harris, R. Powell, R. Laurent, K. Handley, M. Grey, T. Williams, E. Davison, R. Burkhardt, M. Wigmore, R. Heappey, Flynn, M. Morrison, R. Milne, D. Kemp and R. Jessen.
B team: W. Williams, C. Alley, W. Barraclough, L. Richards, M. Miller, R. Beale, A. Davison, G. Vlahovich, C. Fisher, E. Kemp, R. Gallagher, B. Andrews, P. Williams, A. Grey and N. Jurkovitch. • McLEAN CUP PAEROA BEATEN In a McLean cup Rugby match played at Waihi on Saturday the Paeroa Rugby Union’s third grade representative team was defeated by Waihi by 18 points to 9.
