NGATEA WOMEN

INSTITUTE MEETS RESULT OF COMPETITIONS The July meeting of the Ngatea Women’s Institute was held recently in the Ngatea hall when Mrs Hill presided over a very fair attendance of members and visitors. After luncheon was served and the routine business concluded Mrs G. Pinnoak gave a very interesting talk on the trip to Norfolk Island, made by institute members last November. The results of the competitions were as follows:— Best bloom, Mrs Darling 1, Mrs Keyes 2, Mrs Hill 3; floating bowl, Miss Irwin 1, Mrs Keyes 2, Mrs Wheeler 3; chocolate sponge, Mrs Keyes 1, Mrs Blake 2, Mrs Darling 3; best vegetable, Miss Irwin 1, Mrs O’Brien 2, Mrs Blake 3.
