MARRIED IN PUKEKOHE

DREADON—FINLAYSON Many guests attended St. Mary’s Church, Pukekohe, for the wedding of Doaald Harry Dreadon, elder son ef Mr and Mrs Harry Dreadon of Bombay, and Margaret Doris, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs C. Finlayson of Kopuku. With her white all over lace panniered frock with train falling from a bustle, the bride wore a plain tulle veil held in place with a circlet of orange blossom worn by her mother as a bride. The bouquet was of white tulips, roses, cyclamen and carnations. Mrs G. Blake, attended her sister as matron of honour and Miss Norma Dreadon was bridesmaid, both being dressed in blue georgette frocks with large Bertha collars and petalled peplums of blue lace. They carried bou-’ quets of blue irises and piak cyclamen with topknots t 6 match. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Donald Taskell and the gioomsman was Mr Russell Dreadon. The reception was held at the Masonic Hall, Pukekohe, Mrs Finlayson receiving her guests, wearing a dusky pink ensemble in soft wool, with blue shoulder spray and navy accessories. Mrs Harry Dreadon, the bridegroom’s mother, wore a grey and black marled tweed suit, with contrasting black trim, and black accessories. Miss Jocelyn Dreadon, sister of bridegroom, wore a tailored coat of diagonal tweed in beige shade, trimmed with brown, and worn with brown accessories.

The bride’s going away frock was beige woollen material with coat to match and brown accessories.

Both the church and the hall were beautifully decorated. Mr D. Gulland of Pokeno made an excellent toastmaster.
