COROMANDEL BRANCH
OFFICERS FOR YEAR ELECTED The annual meeting of the Coromandel branch of the National Party was held in the Oddfellows’ Hall on Wednesday, March 23, when Mr G. Allington presided over a good attendance. Mr A. S. Sutherland, M.P., with Mrs Sutherland and Mr Milne, organiser for the electorate, were present at the meeting. The election of officers resulted: — President, Mr G. Allington; vicepresident, Mr H. Denize; secretary, Mr W. Pringle; assistant secretary, Mr I. Scott; committee, all present who were on committee last year were elected, with the addition of Mr and Mrs Ariell, Mrs H. V. Denize and Mrs Bell; delegates to conference, Mesdames Peachey, Hart and French and Messrs H. V. Denize and W. Hart and the president and secretary; auditor, Mr W. K. Peachey. The chairman extended a cordial welcome to Mr and Mrs Sutherland and Mr Milne, who referred to the enthusiasm of the branch in eulogistic terms.
After thanking Mr Allington for his welcome, Mr Sutherland addressed the gathering.
