LOSS TO MIRANDA

MR WHITTEN FA REWELLED PRESENTATION MADE A party took place in the Miranda school on the evening of May 15 to enable residents and children to bid farewell to the schoolmaster, Mr Whitten, who has since left the district to take up duties elsewhere. With dancing for the adults and games for the children the evening passed very happily. After an enjoyable supper, provided by the ladies, had been partaken of, Mr T. Perry voiced the regrets of all present, at the departure of Mr Whitten, both from the school and from the social activities of the district. He •presented him with a cheque on behalf of the parents and residents.
