SUMMER MEETING

OHINEMURI JOCKEY CLUB 255 HORSES ACCEPT 16 IN HAURAKI CUP Acceptances, even larger than for the spring meeting, have been received by the Ohinemuri Jockey Club for its summer meeting to be held at Paeroa on Saturday. Excepting in the Hauraki Cup, which has drawn 15 acceptors and the Shaw Handicap, with 23, provision for divisions will be made in the other six races. The events to be divided are the Turua Hack Hurdles, Karangahake Handicap, Waihi Handicap, Netherton Handicap, Henry Bush Memorial Hack Cup and the Waikinq Hack Handicap.

Acceptances for the meeting which total 255, exceed those for the spring meeting by 36, as the total on that occasion was 219. RETURNING TO PAEROA BROOD MARES WITH FOALS Messrs E., P. and W. A. Fathers’ Jocelyn Ann with a colt foal by Bulandshar will arrive in Paeroa today. Mi’ W. Chamberlain’s Evening Coat with a filly foal by Bulandshar will also return from Hastings today. Mr Chamberlain’s Beaumai with a filly foal by Bulandshar is still in Hastings but will return to Paeroa at a later date.

Mr W. A. Fathers’ Skydonna with a filly foal by Diatomous or Coronach is still at Hastings but will return to Paeroa shortly.
