OBITUARY

MR WALTER ALFRED COOK

DEATH AT COROMANDEL

The death occurred suddenly at Coromandel on Tuesday, November 11, of Mr Walter Alfred Cook.

Born in N.S.W. 62 years ago, Mr | Cook came to Coromandel in 1908, where his father was in business as a baker. He carried on in the same business till a few 7 weeks ago when he sold out to a returned serviceman. Mr Cook has been a good citizen during his lengthy residence in Coromandel and has always been a generous giver to the various efforts towards the benefit of the town generally.

Following a service at the Presbyterian Church on Wednesday the funeral took place at the Buffalo cemetery. Mr A. V. Hart conducted the funeral service. A large gathering followed the cortege to the graveside to pay their last respects to a worthy citizen. '
