STOCK SALE AT KOPU GOOD ENQUIRY FOR DAIRIES Heavy entries of all classes of cattle and a medium entry of pig's irere received at the Kopu stock sale this week. Dairy cattle penned .in igood numbers met a steady enquiry, and cattle close to profit sold to £l5. Good quality empty two-year heifers were sought. They sold to £6 Ils, .and medium sorts realised £5 to £5 10s. Yearling heifers were penned in good numbers, and those of fair quality sold to £6 17s dd. Beef and forward condition cows were in strong demand and medium weights sold from £9 Ids to 10 s - Store and weaner pigs sold very

freely. .Good weaners realised from £2 4s to £2 Bs. Messrs Dalgety and Company Limited give the following quotations:— Dairy: Good cows and heifers, c.t.p., £l2 to £l5; medium cows, £9 15s to £lO 10s; backward, £8 10s to £9 ss; small and plain, £7 to £8 ss. Beef: Medium weight good finish, £9 15s to £ll IQs; lighter, £8 10s to £9 10s; light, £6 15s to £7 17s 6d; plain, £6 to £6 10s; heavy works, £6 to £7 7s fid; boner, according to weight, £2 15s to £5 17s 6d. Store: Empty two-year heifers, good, £6 Ils; medium, £5 to £5 10s; yearling, well grown, fair quality, £6 to £6 17s; medium, £5 10s to £5 14s; small, £4 10s to £4 17s. Pigs: Light bacon, £5 19s; large stores, £4 Is; slips, £2 to £2 8s; weaners, good, £2 4s to £2 8s; medium; £1 IBs to £2 Is; small, £1 10s to £1 12s; sows to litter, £6 10s to £B.
