WOMEN’S DIVISION
MATATOKI MEETING HELD RESULTS OF COMPETITIONS The September meeting of the Matatoki branch of Women’s Division of Federated Farmers was held recently in the local hall, Mrs Heberley presiding over a very good attendance. The roll call, “ What I like best about the member next me,” caused a good deal of amusement. September is leper month and quite an amount of gifts was received including soft toys. The competition was soft toys and the resqlts Mrs Pinnell 1, Mrs Woolmore 2, Mrs Gray 3. The garden section resulted: Bloom, Mrs Pinnell 1, Mrs O. Price 2, Mrs C. Fisher 3; spike, .Mrs R. R- Frisken 1, Miss Trapski 2, Mrs Cox 3; heaviest lettuce, Mrs Standen 1, Mrs C. Frisken 2, Mrs Dally 3. Birthday greetings were extended to four members with shoulder sprays. The hostesses’ competition was won by Mrs 0. Fisher. Mrs Pinnell and Mrs L. Denize were in charge of the arrangements for the afternoon. The afternoon tea was very much enjoyed.
