VALLEY CARRIERS
ANNUAL MEETING HELD OFFICERS FOR YEAR ELECTED The annual meeting of the Tnames Valley Carriers’ Association was held in the Pyramid Dining Rooms, Paeroa, on Saturday last. The president, Mr C. C. Webb, presided over an attendance of 35 members. Mr Anderson, representing the N.Z. Road Transport Alliance, was present and gave an interesting and illuminating* address on the activities of the parent body. The election of officers for the coming year resulted as follows: President, Mr C. C. Webb (Paeroa); vicepresidents, Messrs G. N. Dent (Paeroa), W. J. Verran (Thames); executive committee, Messrs K. Stembridge (Netherton), N. Nicholson (Turua), J. Verran and C. McNeil (Thames), R. Aitkenhead and R. Watts (Waihi), J. Kerby (Turua), G. H. Sarjant (Netherton); secretary-treasurer, R. Blackmore (Paeroa); auditor, Mr W. F. F. Faber (Paeroa). Following the annual meeting a social evening was held when numerous guests representing* allied business interests were present.
