BRIDE IN HYACINTH BLUE SUIT

St. Auban’s Church, Mt. Eden, vas recently the scene of the wedding of Myonie Penelope Taylor (Billy) youngest daughter of Mrs P. Taylor and the late Mr W. H. Taylor, of 48 View road, Mt. Eden, and formerly of Paeroa, and Nicholas James Alach, second son of Mr and Mrs N. Alach, of Ngatea. The Rev. Greenwood officiated, and Mr Price was the organist.

The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mi’ Huia Taylor, of Paeroa, wore a charming two-piece suit of hyacinth blue wool. Her jacket was trimmed in the front from the shoulder line to the hem with triple roulette. She also wore a tiny of blue feathers and tulle. Her shower bouquet was of pink orchids, roses and maidenhair fern. At the church door the bride was presented with a blue satin horseshoe trimmed with orange blossoms, by Max Bilich, son of the bridegroom’s sister.

The bridesmaid, Miss Vivien Taylor,* of Paeroa, was dressed in a two-piac# suit of briar rose wool trimmed with rows of stitching. Her hat was made of fuchsia shaded flowers with a matching veil. She wore two gold daggers attached to the front of her jacket by a chain, the gift from the bridegroom. She carried a shower bouquet of fuchsia coloured anemonies, cyclamen and maidenhair fern. The best man was Mr Guy Alach, of Ngatea, brother of the bridegroom. At the reception, held at the Auckland domain tea kiosk Mesdames Taylor and Alach received the guests. The bride’s mother wore a suit of black French crepe, with sleeves of black silk velvet and matching bands on the flared peplum. She wore a silver fox shoulder cape, and black hat and accessories. Her shoulder spray was qf pink carnations and maidenhair fern.'

The bridegroom’s mother wore a suit of geranium red wool crepe-dp-chine trimmed with tiny red pintucks, a navy hat and accessories. Her shoulder spray was of blue anemonies and maidenhair fern.

For travelling the bride chose a suit of cherry facconne, with deep cuffs, and a peplum of knife pleating, cherry, hat and handbag, and an oatmeal coloured lambswool coat.
