CREAM CONTRACTORS’ STAND COUNCIL HAVE WORK IN HAND At the November meeting of the Coromandel County Council a letter was received from the Mercury Bay Dairy Company drawing the council’s attention to the dangerous state of the bridges on the Whenuakite-Ferry Landing road, particularly by Fanny’s Garden. The cream contractors, added the letter, had stated that unless something was done within 14 days they would refuse to cart the cream over them, the letter read. The foreman, Mr E. L. Orr, stated that the matter was already in hand and work was being proceeded with on this section.
