WATER LINE EXPOSED

TROUBLE IN ROTOKOHU ROAD NEED FOR MAIN ENLARGEMENT A good deal of trouble had been experienced recently with the Rotokohu road water supply through the country subsiding and timber coming to the surface and forcing the pipe line to the surface, thus breaking joints and generally leaving the line exposed, the county engineer, »Mr L. E. Shaw, told the November meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council in his monthly report. It had been suggested that the line be shifted on to the shoulder of the road, he said, and if that was to be done it would be advisable to consider the enlarging of the" main as the present supply was very poor and with increased demand would not give a satisfactory service. The council decided to hold the mat. ter over meantime.
