GOOD WORK DONE
MR WILLIAM HAMILTON GIFT FROM DAIRY CO. ILLUMINATED ADDRESS GIVEN As a token of appreciation of the work done by Mr W. Hamilton, of Whenuakite, during his association with the Mercury Bay Co-operative Dairy Company, a presentation of an illuminated address was made to him recently by the suppliers and shareholders of the company. The text of the address was as follows:—' “Presented to William Hamilton by the Mercury Bay Co-operative Dairy Company Limited, in appreciation of his long association with, and service to, the company. Mr Hamilton’s valuable work as a director and chairman throughout the years of the company’s progress has contributed largely to the company’s success. “ He devoted himself to the interests of the company since its inception, and zealously supported any measure helpful to its members. His genial personality and constant desire to assist made him deservedly popular and the company respectfully wishes him to accept this as a token of its esteem.” Mrs Hamilton has made the following reply:— “ To the directors and shareholders of the Mercury Bay Dairy Company: In my absence you not only re-elected me to the chair, but you saw fit to present me w’ith a beautiful address showing your appreciation of my efforts on your behalf. “ I sincerely thank you all for the gift and assure you it is appreciated. Further on behalf of my wife, I take this opportunity of thanking the ladies for the lovely bouquet and kind expressions tendered to her on this auspicious occasion.—William Hamilton.”
