WHENUAKITE BRIDGE

PROMPT REPAIR'S EFFECTED COUNTY COUNCIL RESOLUTION Following the collapse of the bridge close to the Post Office on Cupp’s Road at Whenuakite, a new structure has been completed, which will see out another twenty years.

A resolution was carried at the July meeting of the Coromandel County Council thanking Messrs Hamilton Bros, for the excellent manner in which they had rebuilt the bridge. They had cut stringers off their farm, and with new decking, a really solid job had been done. The council appreciated their prompt effort in replacing the bridge.
