POSITION IN OHINEMURI PROBLEM AT MACKAiYTOiWN' A report on water supplies was furnished as follows by the county engineer, Mr L. E. Shaw, to the Ohinemuri County Council at its May meeting:—

“Repairs to the trestles carrying the pipe line of the Waikino supply have been continued and are nearly completed. The Mackaytown supply has been further investigated for the blockage, but so far nothing has been found, and in the meantime the level of the old dam has been raised and all consumers are getting a satisfactory supply.
