DANCE AT COROMANDEL

SUCCESSFU'L- EVENING A very enjoyable dance was held in St George’s Hall, Coromandel, on Friday, April 12, in aid of the fire brigade’s telephone installation expenses The effort which was organised largely by Mr Knight and a few other interested people, was quite successful. There was a fairly good' attendance and those, present spent a happy time. Novelty dances were introduced' and proved a change from the usual.

The music for the dancing* was played by Mrs E. M. Lucas assisted by Mr W. Hart on the drums. Mr Hans 'Brown played some extras. A novelty monte carlo was won by Mrs' W. Hart Jnr. and Mr Jack Beech, and the 107- monte carlo was won by Miss H. Inglis and Mr J. Weaver. A light supper was served and dancing continued till midnight.
