WEEDING BELLS
DAVIES—BECKER MARRIED AT CATHEDRAL The wedding took 9 place at St. Mary’s. Cathedral, Parnell, on Saturday morning of Miss. Zola Elfreda Becker, niece of Mrs V. G. Davies, of Oratia, and Mrs Alwyn Lloyd Davies (Jini), younger son of Mr and Mrs N. C. Davies, of Paeroa. The Rev. S. G. Caulton officiated and a solo was sung by Miss Jean Milne, the bridesmaid. The bride, who was given' away by Mr George Dale, wore a trained gown of white cloque cut oh classical lines. Her tulle veil was held with a wreath of dahlias, roses and bouvardia, and she carried a bouque of gladioli, roses and carnations.
The bride was attended by- Mrs A. Hol worthy as matron of honour, and by Miss Jean Milne as bridesmaid. They wore picture frocks of blue floral organdie and floral headdresses of dahlias and roses ranging from pink ‘to crimson. They carried bouquets of the same”* flowers. The bridegroom was attended as best man'by Mr A. Holworthy and as groomsman by Mr R. Becker. A reception was afterward held at the Cornwall Park Tea iKiosk.
