STAR OF PAEROA LODGE 1— — v LIFE ASSURANCE SCHEME The half-yearly meeting of the Star of Paeroa Lodge of Druids was held in the Civic Hall. Bro. R. T. Shaw, Arch-Druid, presided over a good attendance. An average amount of sickness was' revealed in the Bard’s report, the valuable benefits attaching thereto being passed for' payment. The quarterly management expenses were approved foi- settlement. Satisfaction with the good work of the officers during the last six months was expressed in a unanimous decision to re-elect them for the ensuing term. The District President, Bro. J. H. Beeston, will attend the next meeting as installing officer. The Grand Lodge office submitted an amendment to Rule 30, which purposes to establish (within the Order) a life assurance plan covering whole life or for a fixed period of years. The scheme is entirely voluntary and) will be funded entirely apart from all other funds of the society.

It was reported to the meeting that every soldier member of the Star of Paeroa Lodge who has served overseas, has returned, safe and sound to the Dominion.
