Mrs H. S. Budd of Hastings, was a recent visitor to Paeroa.

Mrs J. Dodd, of Mangatarata, and her six-months-old daughter Maxine, were amonst the passengers to sail for the UjS.A. last week where they will join Cpl. J. Dodd of the U.S.A. M'arine Corps. Mrs Dodd is the only daughter of Mi* and Mrs W. Cropp, well-known residents of Mangatarata. Mrs Cropp travelled to Wellington with her daughter and grand-daugh-ter.

Mrs H. Wilsher, of Whangarei, has returned home after spending a holiday in Waitakaruru as the guest of Mrs A. Otter.

Miss Davies who has 'been relieving teacher at Waitakaruru has been granted leave of absence.

Mis's Gaye Hinton has returned to Auckland after spending a holiday with her mother, Mrs C. Hinton, School House, Waitakaruru. Mrs C. Partridge of Auckland was visiting her mother, Mrs V. Brown, Hikutaia, during the week-end. Miss Queenie Duncan, of Waihi, has been visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs A. Duncan, of Hikutaia.

Mrs Ron. Wilson, of Auckland, is visiting her sister, Mrs G. Geary, of Omahu.

Miss Iris Lowry and Miss Erline Bodman, both of Morrinsville, were visitors of Mrs R. W. Lowry, of Hikutaia, for the week-end. Miss Lily Hanlen, of Pt. Chevalier, Auckland, is visiting her sister, Mrs N. Forder, of Hikutaia.
