SPRING FAIR AT PAEROA FARM HORSES IN KEEN DEMAND The New Zealand Loan- and Mer-ca-ntilen Agency Co., Ltd., report a - large entry of all classes of horses at their spring horse fair at Paeroa last Thursday including a special entry of South Island horses on account of Mr M. J. Moore, Rakaia, and Mr H. Boyle, Christchurch. They were keenly sought after by local and outside buyers. Mr Moore topped the sale with a nine-years bay gelding which changed hands at £43. Heavy and light farm horses were in keen demand- and hacks and harness horses sold well, making from £l5 to £2O. Quotations: —Heavy draughts from £35 to £43; medium, from £2B to £3O; light from £2O to £25; unbroken, from £8 to £10; hacks, from £l5 to £2O; ponies, from £7 to £lO.
