HEALTH STAMPS
PAEROA COMMITTEE MEETS CAMPAIGN FOR THIS YEAR A meeting of the Paeroa Health Stamp Committee was held 1 in the Coronation Qhambers on Wednesday afternoon, the Mayor, Mr Edwin Edwards, presiding. It was agreed to carry on with the same organisation this year as last year. No local applications, it was reported, had been received last year from children wishing to go to one of the camps. •Mr R. S. Nicol suggested that the committee arrange for the stamps to be sold .by the schools and it was agreed that the headmasters be asked to assist in this direction. An offer by Mr E. Kahn to arrange a street concert to assist the sales was accepted. The following committees were appointed:—General committee, Messrs Edwin (Edwards, W l . J. Cummins, G. Ruscoe, P. H. -Leifih, N. C. .Davies, R. S. Nicol, G. C. Webb, E. Kahn, M. J. Thomas, G. W. Moore, A. E. Day, A. A. Jenkinson, R. iL. Darley, J. Craig, J. Bartlett, Father W. O’Meara and the president and secretary of the Paeroa Women’s Institute; sales committee, Messrs N. C. Davies, M. J. Thomas, A. A. Jenkinson and E. Kahn; selection committee, Messrs G. Ruscoe and C. C. Webb and Father W. O’Meara; secretary, Mr A. A. Jenkinson. It was agreed to send a letter to al the business firms asking them to support the campaign and to send home by the children a similar letter.
