Mr E. Sherlock of Ngatea, has returned from a holiday spent in Christchurch and Pic ton.
iL/Qpl l . iM. IP. (FConnor, a recently returned repatriated! prisoner of war is the guest of Mr and Mrs E. Sherlock, Ngatea. Cpl. E. Bremner of Auckland, a recently repatriated prisoner of war, spent the week-end as the guest of Mr and Mrs, R. B. Hodgson, Ngatea. Mr IL. R. Sherlock, of Ngatea, has been advised of his permanent appointment to the staff of the Bank of New Zealand, Thames. He was previously on loan to this branch from Te Aroha.
L.A.C. R. Kennedy is spending a few days in Ngatea, having only recently returned from service in the Pacific.
Mr J. Parry Edwards' who has been a prisoner of war at Singapore for the last three and a-half years, is visiting his brother, Mr Edwin Edwards, of Paeroa.
