WEEVILS ON THE PENINSULA GOOD WORK FIRST YEAR Speaking at the August meeting of the Coromandel County Council on the matter of the gorse weevil which is supposed to assist in the eradication of the gorse pest, Cr. W. Hamilton stated that about 40 of the weevils were liberated in his district. In the first year they did good work, but lately the results were not so good. It was decided to write to the Cawthron Institute asking for information on the matter.
