MARKED INCREASE
VALUATION OF COUNTY CAPITAL VALUE £612,309 REPORT TO THE COUNCIL That the total capital value of rateable lands in European occupation has increased by 6.7 per cent, and was now £612,309, was reported by the county clerk, Mr J. H. Lucas, to the September meeting of the Coromandel County Council. The report continued: — “The nett increase in the capital value of the whole county ovex- last year is £38,617. All rfdings with the exception of Kuaotunu show a marked increase in values, indicating that the
development of permanent improvements in the county is fairly widespread, the percentage of increase over last year being '6.7 per cent.
“The increase in the different ridings is shown hereunder:—
Whangapoua increase £9lO 2.3% Colville, increase — £4600 3.4% Coromandel, increase £13',112 7.2% Kuaotunu, decrease —- '£3'3's 1.1% Whenuakite, increase £11,'815 13.5% Whitianga, increase £8,515 8.2% “The total capital value of rateable lands in European occupation is now £612,309.”
