183 APPEALS
EXTRA MANURE WANTED DECISIONS SENT FORWARD COMMENT BY THE CHAIRMAN That the Fertilsier Appeal Committee had met on two evenings and considered 183 appeals, was reported by the secretary, Mr G. E. Blake, to the Thames District Council of Primary Production. Recommendations for extra manure were made in each case. The recommendations for the committee Lad been summarised and forwarded to the Director of Agriculture for approval. Arrangements were fully under way
to advise applicants as soon as the director had considered the recommendations of the Appeal Committee and communicated his decisions to this council. In the meantime, instructions were that the recommendations of the committee were not to he made known to applicants.
The chairman, Mr S. E. Hall, said that the discussion by some fanners of such irrelevant topics as sick cows and family matters in their applications had to some extent complicated the work of the committee.
