CAPTAIN BALFOUR DAWSON

FORMER COUNTY CHAIRMAN

At the opening of the December meeting of the Coromandel County Council, the chairman, Mr E. Deeble referred to the passing of Captain Balfour Dawson, who was at one time chairman of the county council. He gave a brief resume of Captain Dawson’s- services both in the last war and in the present conflict. A motion of sympathy was carried, the meeting standing in silence. It was l resolved to place on record the services rendered by Captain Balfour Dawson while chairman of the Coromandel County Council.
