Army Harvesting Scheeme
“Owing to certain military developments it will not be possible to continue with the soldiers as harvesters scheme,” said the chairman, Mr R. C. Clark, at a meeting of the Auckland . District Council of Primary Production, yesterday, when reporting that soldier labour was being withdrawn and efforts were being made to replace soldiers by university students.
