Mr and l Mrs R. Dale, of Mercury Bay have returned from Auckland where Mrs Dale was unfortunately a patient in hospital for two weeks. She is now making a satisfactory recovery.

Mrs Harvey of Auckland has been visiting her sister, Mrs Dale, Whitianga Hotel.

The Whitianga Hotel is popular as a holiday resort and bookings are heavy for the ’Christmas season. Recent guests included Mrs Husking and her daughter who is a sister on the staff of the Auckland Hospital, Capt. R. H. and Mrs Carter (Auckland), Lieut.-Col. J. Taylor, who recently returned from the Pacific, Miss B. H. Wright (Auckland), Capt. and Mrs Surman (Thames), Miss Bach of Braemar Private Hospital '(Thames), Mr and Mrs Digby, Mrs Stringer and her daughter of Auckland.
