OBITUARY

CAPTAIN JOHN FINLAYSON

FORMER PAEROA RESIDENT

The death has occurred of Captain. John (lan) Finlayson, adjutant of the Ngaruawahia military camp, aged 49. A son of the late Mr Farquhar Finlayson, of Arapohue, Northern Wai-

roa, Captain Finlayson served in the last war and joined the New Zealand Permanent Staff in 1927.

After service in Auckland he was stationed at Paeroa until 1989, when he was transferred to Papakura Camp and later to Ngaruawahia. His wife resides in Ngaire Avenue, Epsom.
