GOODS LEFT IN SHED

PROBLEMS ON PLAINS WHARVES DECISION OF THE COUNCIL “There have been casesof neglecting to remove bulky goods from wharf sheds at Ngatea and Kerepeehi and these offences continue at date,” reported the county clerk, Mr E. A. Mahoney, to the July meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council. The report added: — “The council has no redress against the persons, but may clear its shed, either by dumping the goods outside the shed or by transporting them to cover and charging the owner the cost ■of removal before delivering the goods. I ask the council’s instructions on this matter.”

The clerk was instructed to draw up by-laws governing the removal of goods from the wharves and the charges payable for storage. It was decided to advise the owner that the goods, in question must be removed 1 within 10' days.
