It is desired to draw the attention of the public to some of the provisions of the Meat Act, 1939, regarding the slaughtering of stock for sale for Human Consumption. 1 Sections 45 and 46 of the Act prohibit (except as therein provided) the slaughtering on any farm situated within six miles by the nearest available road of any Abattoir District, Borough or Town District, of stock intended for sale for Human Consumption.
