PAEROA FLOWER SHOW
ST. PAUL’S GUILD
VERY SUCCESSFUL AFTERNOON
The Spring Flower .Show organised ■by ladies of St. Paul’s- Anglican Guild wa s held in the Parish Hall, Paeroa, on Thursday afternoon last. A large number attended and admiration was expressed at the splendid display of flowers. The tables presented a colourful sight and many beautiful blooms were exhibited. -One section was reserved for artistically arranged bowls of flowers and another for decorated saucers. A stall of produce and flowers did brisk business.
During the afternoon enjoyable items were rendered by the following ladies:—Mr s E. Kahn, “The Old Refrain,” “Bird Songs at Eventide”; Mrs Stevenson, “Thanks Be To -God,” “Good Morning Brother Sunshine”; Mrs McKee, “Joy R, I n My Heart,” Deal Land of Long xAugo”; Mrs Brown and Miss Rita Smith acted as accompanists.
A delicious afternoon tea was dispensed -by the Guild ladies who had so untiringly worked for the success of the flower show.
