MEETING OF THAMES BOARD
STATISTICS FOR MARCH
The monthly meeting of the Thames Hospital Board was held at Thames on Tuesday, the chairman, Mr P. E. Brenan, presiding. Others present were Messrs J. W. Danby, W. Madgwick, S. H. Brown, C. W. Winder, M. A. Ellis, C. W. Parfitt, A. H. Sutton, A. J. Cornes, A. G. Davies, C. W. Kennedy and the secretary, Mr A. L. Neighbour; Leave of absence was granted Lieut. M. A. Brook. Statistics of the hospitals under the board’s control were given as under:—
Thames Hospital. — Number of patients in wards at last return, 59 males, 44 females; admitted, 74 males, 63 females; deaths, 3 males, 3 females; discharged, 72 males, 68 females; remaining at date, s'B males, 36 females; out-patients, 74 males, 40 females; attendances, 193 males, 93 females; 40' males, 26 females.
Waihi Hospital—Number of patients in wards at last return, 13 males, 23 females; admitted, 29 males, 35 females; deaths, 2 males, no females, discharged, 22 males, 32 females; remaining at date, 18 males, 26 females; out-patients, 15 males, 6 females; attendances, 46 males, 16 females; operations, 15 males, 10 females.
■Coromandel Hospital.—Number of patients at last return, 9 males, 10 females; admitted, 10 males, 10 females; discharged, 12 males, 12 females; deaths, no males, 1 female; remaining at date, 7 males, 7 females, operations, 5 males, 3 females; outpatients, 51 males, 53 females; births, 0 males, 2 females. Mercury Bay Hospital.—Number of patients at last return, no males, 3 females; admitted, 9 males, 3 females; deaths, 1 male, 0 females; discharged, 2 males, 6 females; remaining at date, 6 males; 0 females; attendances, 55 males, 34 females; operations, 2 males, 2 females. Paeroa Hospital. — Number of patients in wards at last re.urn, 1 male, 6 females; admitted, 1 male, 12 females; deaths, no males, no females; discharged, 2 males, 14 females; remaining at date, no males, 4 females, out-pa tiepts, 2 males, 3 females; attendances, 6 males, 8 females; operations. 1 male, no females.
