KILLED IN ACCIDENT
SECOND-LIEUT. J. GARDINER
FORMER PAEROA INSTRUCTOR
Reported killed as the result of an accident, Second-Lieutenant James Gardner was the eldest- son of the late Mr A. Gardner, of Tirau. He was educated at the Hamilton Technical High School and was later employed as a woodwork instructor by the Education Department at Paeroa and Te Aroha. He was a member of the Hamilton Harrier Club and the Knox Presbyterian Church. His' two brothers are serving overseas.
